No matter the document type, whether it's a birth certificate, machine manual, use and care instructions or anything else, when your documents need to go abroad, you need it right and you need it yesterday. That's where we shine, in fact translation is what we do best.

When you send your documents to Virginia Language Services for translation, we will provide you with a binding estimate, often the same day. That estimate will tell you how long the document is, how long it will take to translate, and the cost to translate your document.

We can translate your documents to or from English, focusing on, among other fields:

Translation of audio books to or from English

At Virginia Language Services, our primary focus is on document translation, not second guessing the document's author. The translation we return to you will reflect as accurately as possible the author's intention. We translate documents. We do not edit thoughts or intentions.

Your translated document will be formatted as closely as possible to reflect the style and feel of the original document and delivered in your preferred file format.

Do you have a document you've already had translated but want double checked before you send it out with your name on it? No problem. Send it to us. Proofreading your translated document can be a good investment, especially when we can do it for half the normal price of translating a document. Of course, if extensive revisions are needed we will need to charge the full translation rate, but only after we have contacted you and explained the situation.

You might be asking "How do I know you're not just milking this for every dollar you can?" Good question. First, look at the invoice we sent you. In most cases, the translation will be just fine with maybe a few differences. We will strike through the portion we disagree with and insert our correction. We will then embed the corrections in a second document we will return to you as well. If you have questions about our results and have a friend who speaks both languages (preferably a native speaker of the target language), feel free to have them look it over and give you their opinion. If a re-translation is needed, we will contact you and explain why. In some cases, it might have been a college graduate who majored in the language, but has spent virtually no time in the country learning the real version of the language. The academic and native versions of the language are not the same! Finally, trying to bilk you would be counterproductive. We might get by with it once, but we'll never see you again and we want your repeat business!

As you can see, for document translation it pays to go with experience. It pays to come to Virginia Language Services!
